windjammer SG the day singapore qualify for world cup (not being the host nation... also seem far fetch) will be the day man can walk on the sun...
windjammer SG well my point is that our government shud give more support on all kinds of sports... be it bowling, soccer etc etc... if our government mentality of sports is for recreation only then.... haiz.... i really pity those sports man/woman that bring glory to the country... i think they shud be compensate more...
Ding SG I see... I see... LKY Maybe then the focus is on economic concerns and not sporting/the arts. Now dif liaoz...... sports will make more S'porean feel for the nation. Part of making people stay
windjammer SG my target is be a billionaire next minute... can??? chey... anyone can target wat they like... important thing is that can they do it???
Ding SG Reflecting on last night's "performance" by our lions(more like pussy cat ), it will take a long long loooonnnng lllooooonnggg time. Ok, u get the point If they make it to 2010 finals(FAS, u hear me), I will donate 10% of my estate(whatever I own...) to further the clause of soccer. Sadly... it'll be hard for me to part with my monies. I am very willing
Ding SG Come on LIONS, make me contribute to soccer However, I would definitely not bet against Spore's bowling. It had clearly produced the results and boost our nation's standing in the international bowling arena(amid some setbacks)
windjammer SG for soccer if they wanted to invest foreign talents, they shud target young players not thirty somethings... with due rescpect to the players...
Xiao Long Nu SG oh i heard sg will be renovating the national stadium to build a nicer one ….if …i mean if ever..world cup is held in sg…..and since sg target…might be gt 0.00000009% confident…if they rely participate….it will be worst than china….if wc is in sg in 2010…haiz…like the esplanade…i tink sg is wasting money
Ding SG Wooh... then we gotta start training our kids from young In our younger days, we still play lots of Goli... but nowadays kids high tech liaozzz
Ding SG then world record(soccer) scores will be broken By Singapore!! Then we can add one more records to our list BTW, I don't feel that the esplanade is a waste of money Also S'pore have already more than enough in the reserve. However that's out of point in this thread
sgboy2004 SG Got Goli computer games or not? Yeah..start young and by 2010, we willhav the Goli Championship.
Ding SG Like capteh(is that how u spell it ) I think just put incentive(like coins in the circle) for the kids and they'll practise all day/night(install spotlights) long... to get monies for their sweet tooth & snacks! That will be much lower in cost than funding S'pore soccer. Soccer's position as a core sport is in serious contention now... I expect various other head of sports association(NSAs) to have a go now...
