coolgeek84 SG Woah.. Then how come my speed is so horrible man.. Mine is linksys too. But thats the router. Modem is usually Motorola.. =) Its the modem which limits the speed. Routers can just go happily till 100Mbps =)
coolgeek84 SG Woah.. Wtf? Y my ultimate is so lousy! Dude, can tell me which modem and router you using? And how many computers are connected to your router? Please please please!!
coolgeek84 SG Hmm... This is the speed after I connected my computer directly to the modem. No in between routers. I checked about the details of my modem. Its SB5101 by Motorola. Certified speed is 30Mbps. So it shouldn't be a problem to get the required speed, but all I am getting is 1/10 of the speed that was promised to me? Of course I know my modem is capable of only 30Mbps but still I am getting only at most 12.7Mbps out of that mere 30Mbps? I feel cheated man.. Damn. Shall I report to Starhub and ask them to rectify this problem? I am pretty sure that they will give me the usual bull shit about network traffic bla bla bla.. But getting 1/10th of what was promised is not fair in my view.. Anyone with similar connection and modem as mine care to speak out? Maybe everyone like that.. Then I got nothing to say. lol.. edit: Got this after I ran System Mechanic's Internet optimizer.. wtf is going on. lol.. Btw, all this being run in the weee early hours of this Saturday.. -_-
MyPillowTalks SG singnet dedicated server @ 100mbps plan, i am hosting server.... that's y i need it i still tink singnet fast lea
coolgeek84 SG Eh? 100Mbps or 1000Mbps? Which is 1Gbps. Becoz ur speed shown is 900Mbps.. Anyway wtf man.. lolz.. Cannot compare speeds with dedicated servers la.. lolz..
coolgeek84 SG I did it! Managed to get this speed after "uncapping" the speed of my modem!! Woot~! People this is illegal so don't do it! K before you start woah-ing or what, this is a fake.. I photoshopped it becoz I got loads of time.. ^^
coolgeek84 SG Hehe! Damnit.. So you bluff people ah?~! I feel cheated =X No wonder u had discrepancies in that "100Mbps speed" thingy. lolz..
