I've got this new USB printer, Canon s9000.
Most of the time, my computer will pop this dialogue box (see
below) when I insert the usb cable.

As a result, I can't get my computer to detect the printer at
all.
- I've tried changing the USB cable.
- I've installed the latest printer driver (only by chance because
the printer was detected just that once for the installation to
finish successfully).
- The printer just came back from servicing and the guys there
successfully did a print test using Win98. I'm using WinXP.
- Printhead was changed.
What could be the problem here?
Anyone faced with this problem before?
Help is greatly appreciated!

Update
After searching the internet, it seems that people tried shutting
down the computer and pulling out the plug to release the
static.
It worked for me at the detection stage. Meaning, in the Printers
and Faxes window, it showed that s9000 is ready.
But when I tried to print, it says that printer is not
responding.
I pull out the usb cable and replug and got the error message
again.
