u can only tweak ur PC to work at the max d/l speed possible for
ur connection. Some other factors cannot be changed.
in China, last time i use one plan that the max can go
1000k/s(limited hours per month,extra hours need to pay extra) ,
but later i changed to a plan that max can go 250k/s but unlimited
hours.
the reason is that even i can d/l at 1000k/s, the source i d/l from
may not be able to give me that kind of speed. The situation i need
high speed is d/l things from BT, but only when the file is a
popular files with many seeds/users, or i am downloading a lot at
the same time, then i can get to see the speed go up to 1000k/s,
most of the time, i dun get 1000k for download one or two movies.
Unless i d/l ten movies at a time then i may get 1000k/s in my
BT.
So i changed to a max 250k/s unlimited hours plan. then when i
download in BT, it easily go to the max. And i make it a habit that
i visit BT sites before i sleep, let then run for the night while i
am sleeping, the next morning i wake up it should be all
finished.
Of cos it's faster the better, but depending on how u use it, u may
not really need that fast.
Using download softwares wont really help to increase ur max
download speed(cos it's limited by what type of connection u use),
but it helps by downloading thru mutli connections(if server
allows, some ftp servers dont allow one single IP to have more than
one connections).
