King David: overtaken team-mates like Kaka and
Ronaldinho as Milan's free-kick taker.
DAVID BECKHAM produced his greatest game in years to wow
Fabio Capello.
Beckham sharpened Milan's interest in keeping him beyond his
loan deal from LA Galaxy by firing a trademark free-kick goal in a
1-1 draw with Genoa on Wednesday night.
Beckham, 33, swung home a sensational free-kick in the
San Siro to cap an all-action display reminiscent of THAT heroic
performance against Greece back in 2001.
Afterwards, Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed it
is entirely down to Becks over where his future lies. Ancelotti
said: “At this moment he’s a Milan player. “But we don’t know if
David wants to stay at AC Milan. It’s not a case of Milan or LA
Galaxy. It depends entirely on what David wants to do.
He was watched by England manager Fabio Capello, who the night
before had been embarrassed when he was featured on Italian TV with
an exotic dancer.

Things are getting hotter all the time for Fabio.
Becks struck in the 38th minute with a swerving effort. The
former England captain, who was also booked, has now scored twice
in four matches having netted in Milan's 4-1 victory at Bologna on
Sunday.
Having pulled the strings in midfield, he limped off on
70 minutes to a standing ovation. Genoa’s Diego Milito levelled
late to dampen Becks’ night.
Beckham said: “To score a goal for Milan at the San
Siro made me very happy. But it was more important that we
win.”
His loan expires on March 8, but Milan are hoping to keep him at
a fee of £5million. Vice-president Adriano Galliani said before
last night's game: 'Normally we respect all the deals we enter
into, but the desire for David Beckham to stay is so great that the
deal is still alive.'
