Is it illegal to use fog lights in Singapore? My bro just told me that he read somewhere that it's illegal....

I dont use fog lights at all... because there is no need for them in Singapore.. but I'm just curious about the logical reason for making it illegal? I still see many people using their fog lights...

fog lights are too bright if dere isnt any fog, will affect other road user’s view. dats why it is banned…

How about neon lights underneath the vehicle aka NFSU style? Saw a white EVO with Red neon-lights glowing from everyside underneath it and I think its cool and nice! Is it legal? Smile

Yes yesterday just read an article that those who use fog lamps indiscriminately will be fined $1000 or jailed 3 months.

For me I'm quite neutral over this.

I don't think it causes distraction, it's those high-beam idiots who cause so.

But neither do I think that the fog lamps help in improving visilibity in normal weather. I guess it's just for aesthetic purpose.

So... Save power... Keep it off, haha.

yaya..the news says that cant on fog lamps when driving anymore..last time alot of people on their HID Fog lights for fun(shine at others for fun) then now banned..dunno why my mom's car's fog light so deem.. Laughing

A lot of rules on modifying cars in Singapore..lol..fog light is definitely illegal..some idiots are worse..the moment they hop into their car they switch it on, regardless of whether is it in bright daylight or at night..fog light is brighter than the headlights and thus LTA says it causes distraction at night..another thing is the HID lamps aka Xenon lights..they are only legal if your car came with it..if you do it aftermarket, it's illegal..lol..wad rubbish..i love HID lights..haha.. Yes, very bright..haha..but no choice..soon nearly every car will come with HID lights as standard..then we'll just have to get used to it..haha..there was a period of time everyone in the world also complained about the then-new halogen lights..they said it was bright..but slowly we all got used to it.. Very Happy
