zulkifli mahmood SG In the late 80s more and more Singaporeans started to tune in to the ZOO 101.6FM radio station in Batam because they played continuous music of latest English and Indonesian songs. That caused the battle of airwaves in Singapore. Singapore started to open new airwave stations and upgraded their songs playlist for longer broadcasting hours to win Singapore listeners again. I think if without the presence of that radio station in Batam and competition back then, most of the radio channels and programmes in Singapore would not have upgraded their programmes with continuous music 24 hours a day 7 days a week haha.
Beanstobars SG Strangely enough, it was watching weekday Wheel of Fortune on Channel 5. Wait... Was it called Channel 5 back then?!
