The concierge were paid a salary to do their job which includes
booking cabs for hotel guests. If the hotel staff expect benefits
in terms of cash or free transport home or annual dinners, then
sooner or later CPIB will be after the money trail. Angry hungry
cabbies = crazy cabbies
If the hotel collects payment from guests directly, then no
problem. GST goes to PAP no problem. GST going elsewhere is asking
for trouble here.
For me, the days I went in limo line, my mentor(good guy), already
told me avoid hotel jobs, so until now still avoiding..... Last
years, with bunch of kakis, try to penetrate RWS, to set up
separated limo queue, everything is fine, except cb management
refuse to give us black & white, so bo bian withdraw.....heard
another group went in, set up, many problems, ended up also closed
shop..... The moral of the story is, every Tom, Dick and Harry
wanted to venture somethings to their advantage, in order to
survive in this tough market......just had to be careful on legal
term......
