i keep on stalking the engine while moving off or from traffic light.
this coming week is my 11 th lesson.

i do not want to stalk in the middle of the road, keep on blocking traffic...

i ask my instructor why i keep on stalk engine he keep on saying my leg my leg
1. cant feel the bitting point
2. over half clutch
3. apply brake while half clutch
4. apply brake while half clutch on up slope.
6. too late to depress "oil"

what am i going to do, my fren 2nd lesson wont stalk engine again but i 10th lesson...

should i change instructor or my fault?

well ur instructor should've help u clear tis problem b4 letting u out in traffic...

You can practise feeling the biting point on a road without alot of traffic. Maybe you can feel it better if you wear shoes with thinner soles. As you improve, move on to busier roads and slopes.

Once you've gotten the biting point, depress the accelerator gradually, whilst slowly moving your left leg towards yourself.

Relax, the more you tense up, the harder it is to feel the biting point and the more frequent the car stalls. Wink

Your instructor wants to malu you and make you take more lessons, so he adjusted the clutch to bite at the highest point, and make you feel insecure. Laughing

well, here's a little trick. even when you haven't start releasing the clutch, depress the accelerator lightly, keep an eye on the rpm needle. then release your clutch slowly, and biting point, the needle will drop a little, that's when you can simultaneously depress your accelerator while releasing clutch.

this is for you to learn to get the feel, don't rely on it all the time.

why don't you depress/step on the "oil / gas" first, then slowly release the clutch. This is not a good practice, but this help you not to have stall engine. But don't step too hard, about 2000rpm should be fine, once it moves, slowly adjust you 'oil / gas'. Try more, listen to engine sound, eyes, ears, legs, must work together.... Wink

teach you. you find one day you try dun press accelerator, just try and half clutch and make the car move. it will so improve your control and finding of the biting point if you go and spend some time try and do that.

yea man...my instructor told me 2 do that on a level road....and within 5 mins i got the hang of it...and the more u think of getting it right soemtimes ends up in one not accomplishing it...so take it easy....stall nothing 2 be paiseh abt as even exp drivers stall cars (i stalled an M5 BTW Embarassed )

wear the same pair of shoe during every lession or dont wear shoe u need to feel the biting point

Maybe its because you stalK the engine and not stalL it.
