My friend who is an average student in O and A levels(obtained B, B, C) scored a second class upper in business in NTU (three year course)

u cant extrapolate a fantastic degree to an average A lvl grade and claim "hey it's ez to get good honours."

Have u considered the specialization of business he's in? Or perhaps he put in alot effort in Uni?

wadeva it is, being a NTU student now, i can tell u it's not easy. Either what i said above is true, or the standard has been raised over the years.

A B B can go cambridge? Anyway I'm in J1 this year. I hope everybody can give me advice on whether foreign or local universities are better.(For courses like business and law)

ppl here state O levels can get into SMU skipping JC and Poly.
even with ABE, willing to pay $$, University sure accept you.
if this is a fact, why so many ppl complain?
Local Uni not asking half a million, just asking tens of thousands.

Of course go overseas- eg Cambridge, Oxford, MIT, even our Ministers sons don't study here.
Get scholarship but if unable to, then study locally cos cheaper.
