Really? I thought the Thai version got a longer equipment list? That's why Borneo refused to lower the price when they brought the lower cost thai version in...

parts used are different.
Jap parts are more lasting and durable. The reason they move to thai is becos of cheaper cost not just labour but on parts. Cars made in japan has some certain standard to meet.

Btw, good things no need to give lots of disc, people would still buy them becos of good quality and workmanship.

If they can be compromise, then the only way is to give lots of disc to attract customers to buy.

Yah right, superb marketing strategy with VVTi badge.

A picture paints a thousand words. Look around and we see lots of thai assembled cars on the roads. Nowadays people don't really mind if they're not assembled in jap.

Wonder what will be the scenario on our roads if all PIs carry only thai assembled cars and all ADs carry only jap assembled cars?

When you buy something, you would always want a disc or whatever.. So they mark up higher and give you disc to make you happy. End of the day, the car dealers still makes money

heard that the thai version has a Relatively noisier ride than the jap version. maybe due to Relatively poorer insulation.

I'm just stating facts. Facts are usually quite blunt to our ears.

I would rather not seek such a "happiness". It's meaningless and short-lived. If car dealers not make money, don't think they want to sell cars anymore.

Have you ever wonder why thai made cars only given to SEA market but not to US, Europe or Aust market?

I can tell you, eventually Singapore won't be treated as developed nation status by the manufacturers... Already we are treated as if part of the entire SEA nation

The next question is "The design of Camry from Japan or Thailand is nicer?" (if you notice there is a diff)
