maybe u can get a copy of the latest "motoring" magazine to have alook about cars in general as well as flip thru the price guide at the back portion of the mag.. it would give u an idea as well as possibly opening ur eyes to more possibilities and/or options u never tot was there..

the opel corsa was once upon a time the most frugal car on the island... a couple years ago... if im not wrong it is still available.. but this as well as the price.. u would have to go down to find out for sure..

dun think is wise for u to get a manual car .. unless u are very confident in gear changing and ur driving skill... if petrol is ur concern.. den is better to consider other car..as Getz is quite thirsty.. and even if is a manual car..wont save u much $$.. think suzuki swift,nissan march,jazz,honda fit, picanto, aveo,YRV,serion,toyata Yaris,vios,madza 2 SP, around 55k within ur buget.. dun have to hurry..look more ,,test drive..ask more, ask other ppl or many friends advice.. then after much consideration seat down quitely..ask what u want.. then book the car..dun get push by the sale agent..they only want ur $$ plus quota..

I have just purchased a Getz 1.6MT. Still awaiting for the delivery of the car. Did a little research and found that the car fuel consumption is about 6.2L/100km ... of cos thats is provided you are travelling at the efficient speed of around 80km/hr. Since we do stop at traffic lights, and sped off from halt, the reasonable consumption would be aroung 7L /100km... hope this helps
