In my shopping list, there were three cars (Golf2.0, Sonata2.4
and Civic2.)
- Price: Golf>Sonata>Civic
- Exterior Design(my wife's consideration): I like all of these
cars
- Ponny and Torque(This is minor factor though):
Sonata>Civic>Golf
- Build Quality (based on other's opinion): Golf > Civic
>Sonata (however sonata also as good as the others)
- Show off factor: Golf>Civic>Sonata
- Value for money: Sonata>Civic>Golf
- Dimension of car: Sonata>Civic>Golf
- All of these cars are FF
Anyway civic was one of the 1st car i do not feel strange/odd at
first with premium car's feeling.
My purchase experience:
- Booking: the 1st week of this year
- Delivery: 17March
- Cost factors (Interest rate 3.25pa)
. List price: 85,000
. Financial Rebate by Kah -4,000
. COE rebate(contract amount: 12,000) -2,400
. GE Money (banking business sector of GE, 3month free installment)
-1,800
There were three available models (1.8vti, 1.8vti-s and
2.0Si)
- 1.8vti seems best buy (Cost and Fuel Economy with same
functionality) in Sg
- but my wife liked factory built in audio of 1.8vtis and
2.0Si
- there was small price difference between vtis and si (I found
this is tricky)
- Moreover i do not need cruise control, fog light, silver finish
of doors (but side airbags and Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) seems
good option)
this is the reason I've chosen si auto
if i were sole decision maker, i might
have chosen 1.8vti (for your reference). Anyway it's kinda sad
thing that we can't configurate optional parts, which eventually we
have to pay more to have unnecessary things.
I may update my driving experience in a few months time
