Anyway, I always give way to others when I can see the signalling. But usually no-one will give way to me, so I just have to drive a little more aggressive.

It’s always a headaches. Whenever I go out driving my church passenger van which is a 60kmph, you will see those 70kmph vans overtaking you w/o signalling and stuffs and we’re stucked behind a slow 60kmph trailer truck and not being able to overtake easily.

They might not be tailgating you but you might be merely roadhogging. ITs a very broad definition of those 2 terms, but as long as you drive safely and keep a safe distance then you shouldn't worry about other jerks on the roads.

last time i dr a lancer cvt, the cvt really sux alot, but i try drag with fren hiace, 0 to 40km/h on par, after tat the van smell smoke liao.
those van only got v good torque for low end only.
u think @ 80 or 90km/h they can beat car meh haha.

As for the above ... there is nothing wrong with the heavy vehicle on the right most lane ... me myself own a 10tons lorry and have you driven a lorry before ??? How powerful it is for a lorry to cut 3 lanes ??? If you want try ... i can let you drive my 10 tons on weekends provided you got class 4 ok

Most heavy vehicles will keep right somewhere around the corner lah ... whats the big deal ???

I didnt quote your other statement but just like to tell you ... heavy vehicles are working on road and most has a time restriction to reach certain destination...

I dun know abt tail gating as an offence but I for sure have develop a bad habit of not signalling and speeding. Sad Must repent and contain myself....i dun want to cause accidents..and trouble for others. Embarassed

i must agree van or bus are not be look down. due to the size their engine is just nice for them to overtake at 80 90 but more maybe alitle longer. but van if empty whooo that fast. cos of their low end torque to pull them off, their pickup is fast enough already. top speed they dont have but mid range still got quite some punch.

some big size lorry or trailer or bus are TC dont believe try them. those PSA one are 4.8 V6 Desiel Turbo-Charged. Desiel are design for low rpm with high torque to enable them to pull load from standstill easily at 1200rpm they can have easily 500Nm somemore with the high torque plus the TC = Mini evo liao.

car are getting lousier and lousier. all are design for Fuel economy already rather then power. EK4 is history 1.6 with 160bhp onli more then 5yr car got. anything newer got 120 other then those performance type with cost preminum onli old cars to look at already.

140km/h for van is nothing. pple always have the concept of desiel is lousy, dirty, slow, powerless.

technology have advance for desiel so much nowdays dont even need to warm up the glow stick inisde just start and move off can liao. dont even need to wait car sometime still need to wait a little.

due to the nature of desiel which require high compression like 20:1 that why desiel are not as quiet as petrol cars.

Is yours a MT or AT.

If MT, for a 1.6L car to drag. It would not lose to a van. Have you drag each gear to 7k rpm.

If you did, by 3rd gear you would be at least a car length behind. If not enough, get a open Pod. It would help in a way.

Tried with my fren, matrix and lancer both open pod, by 3rd gear at 80km, I already overtook by half car length. Both doing 7k rpm. We trying 0-100.

If you say 140 on par with van, try drop to 4th gear and drag some more.

A 1.6L car even japanese car can go to 180. Korean or conti car can go to 200 on drag.

Do some maths on the ratio of gear/max speed. Theres no way a van can win a car. 1:40 2:90 3:130 4: 160 5:180> This is based on CS3 MT with open pod

his van isit the opel combo or caddy? i've driven the opel b4(vivaro...bigger version) and its damn fast lo....accel faster than those L-plate civics tt i drove in SSDC
