It is just as silly as saying I want to put a man on the moon, or to build the airbus A380, or the RR Phantom. Without such "silly" ideas or goals, i dont think the world of will progress this far.

I have no doubt that saleen will be able to produce a 1000bhp challenger, like those supras and skyline, but the biggest question is can they beat the 250mph speed record and be good enough to use as a road car.

hmmm saleens? why not? I reckon their aero package would be better. But their achilles hell might be their handling... American cars... tend not to have such sterling reputations where handling is concerned.

Having a good aeropackage is important, however you still need the look and design in order to be winner in the super sports car market.

For the Saleen S7, I personally think the design look dated and like a XJ220 and with a F550 front. (maybe is is due to their close relationship with Ford that owns the Jaguar) And for that price, I would easily go for the Murcielago which cost half the price but with twice the WOW factor.

well the saleens is very low slung and beautiful. And the jag XJ220 is still damn beautiful. I think its a pretty timeless shape. Shapes like the Enzo would date, I cannot envision the XJ220’s shape dating. In another 10 years the car would still look very current, but while some classic Ferraris are gorgeous, the fact that their look becomes ‘classic’ is very telling of how their looks age.
