ICanOnlyHope SG

Death sentence by hanging is a most cruel form of punishment and execution. I know govt wants to scare people but people should be allowed to die quickly. I suggest the firing squad where a shot is fired to the head. It is almost instant death and less pain with all the brain messed up and head burst. The govt should change to the firing squad for execution of hard core criminals to be more humane. I also suggest lethal injection w/c america is practicing in some states. In this you have medical professionals ensuring the criminal receives the correct dose to kill quickly and with less pain and suffering. What do u think?

ShutterBug SG

Death or Dying, can NEVER be made a pleasant experience no matter the approach.

Only those who died instantly in road accidents, felt NOTHING.

The main cause of suffering is the KNOWLEDGE that one is going to DIE.

kristovorus SG

singapore got firing squad execution meh.. i thought all death row crimminals are hanged?

beavan SG

yes they are, but the thread starter wants to convert it to a firing squad.

in what way is a firing squad more humane than a rope around your neck. both ways u die fast and you don't get your body split apart when hung by the neck till you die.

I read in some places, ppl were whipped to death.

That is, the person is chained up shirtless and whip and whip until dies.......

Ito_^ SG

Laughing great for sex offenders.

AndrewPKYap SG

why are murderers better than sex offenders?

club18 SG

hanging, there are 2 ways u can die..
1stly, when the trap door is open, the sudden jerk in the neck by the rope would break ur neck and death is instant..
2ndly, the jerk doesnt brak ur neck, so u hang there for a while before u can die..

firing squad, to my knowledge, is used rarely nowadays..
i supposed its only used in the communist countries and military states.

If my head is blown to bits, then my body is incomplete and my soul cannot rest. Laughing

Hanging nowadays are death by breaking your neck, not asphyxiation...

And for firing squad, IIRC, they shoot your heart or torso, not your head... And in a squad of firers, there is one rifle that contains a blank round. Unless you're talking bout China, one rifle round to the head

If you want fast and furious, might as well go the guillotine way Wink

Xtrider SG

U think the state so eng ah? shoot aldy still must clean up the place and not to mention clean up the brain bits also..messy max.

further more rounds cost money but ropes u can reuse

also shooting cannot take place in an enclosed area for fear of bullet ricochet and injure the shooters leh..

LazerLordz SG

Just abolish the death penalty. The ripple effect of doing so will benefit us in many ways, especially our reputation.

Ito_^ SG

i didn't say they are better.

curryman SG

TS..get ur facts rite….lethal injection is the least humane way of execution presently….a recent research highlights that.

SpecOps87 SG

Think that lethal injection is the most humane way.No marks…other then a needle prick.

FUU SG

everytin to u oso dumb..

the onli thing smart is being crazy is it? Rolling Eyes

UandMe SG

rounds are dirt cheap and the cost negligible for the number of people executed.

Lethal injection the least fear & pain, but think organs can't be donated after that.

UandMe SG

why?

Slipshade SG

I would like to ask how you know that they felt nothing. Embarassed
