wonderamazement SG

Why the blank round?

Herzog_Zwei SG

No one knows who's using the blank round rifle so all will fire their rifles. Just to escape guilt.

gigabyte14 SG

then u want what?

release offenders?

not enuff space in jail oso leh

SGCOWS SG

YOU THINK YOU WHO? OFFENDER LEH, NOT MY PAPA MAMA LEH.`

Laughing

Fatum SG

read that in indonesia, ALL rifles except one contains blank rounds ....

I think the idea is to let the policemen conducting the execution to sleep better at night ... if you didn't know who fired the lethal shot, then you can't get nightmares eh ? ....

it doesn't work that way of course ... since experienced shooters will know if he's fired a blank or a live round ... Laughing

Death by hanging is not in any way humane, a lot of the time either the person’s neck doesn’t break or when their neck does break they still remain conscious although immobilised. Both result in the person to suffer for minutes before they die of strangulation. Not very humane…

jondizzle foshizzle SG

But those experiencing guilt would forget the amount of recoil the rifle exhibited and would remember firing a blank

d3athy SG

well .. hanging is like free of charge ....
for firing squad ... if not wrong ... the family of the offenders nd to pay for the bullets ... that is being used ... bullets aint not free ....

hanging is a quicker way to die ... once ur neck is being snap .. u are died be4 u know it =x

Herzog_Zwei SG

You can always try hanging drawing and quatering. Mr. Green

Well, reflect on this:

If you are driving reasonably fast, say about 90Km/h, and then suddenly another car swerves into your path, you'll be so shocked and busy trying to evade collision that when you finally crash into the other car and as a result end up crashing into a tree, you would not have any clear recollection of what really happened when you blacked out upon impact. Your senses would have been in overload.. you won't feel anything.

Likewse if someone walks up to you and without warning swings a punch at your face - you will similarly black out and awake on the ground not knowing what happened.

Best execution is; tell the condemned person that he's free to go, as he turns around and walk away in great relief, shoot his head off.

Not knowing anything is the fastest, and most "painless" way.

ShutterBug SG

Allow me correct this misunderstanding: Hanging DOES result in asphyxiation.

Because when the condemned person falls through the trapdoor with added sandbags tied to his legs, the collective weight of the sandbags and his body will snap his neck. The angle in which the noose is draped over his neck, also acts to cause his broken neck to protrude against his windpipe totally blocking ability to breath.

There's an excruciating pain when the neck breaks, neck muscles and tissues tear internally, and some severance of spinal nerves. Some loss of sensation can be experienced as such, but the brain can still feel suffocation while the body is partially responsive due to possible torn spinal column.

Death in this method is brutal, and somewhat slow, because the body still twitches and squirms in pain and suffocation. Bliss only comes when the person blacks out from lack of oxigen. Brain death comes a several minutes later.

Not pretty yah?

ShutterBug SG

Personally, no matter what form of execution is used, the worst agony in a Death Sentence is the knowledge that you are going to die, and the ANTICIPATION of death.

Although, one can take comfort in knowing that if should Singapore employ the use of Lethal Injection, it would be truly painless... but it still won't take away the dreaded ANTICIPATION of death.

First injection puts you to sleep, really deep sleep.. second one causes your organs to fail one by one... the third ensures that your heart stops beating.

Once your heart stops, within five to ten minutes you are Brain Dead.

Oblivion then rules forever...

Sheepophile SG

why would lethal injection be painless????? Shocked

Fatum SG

lethal injection is a bad idea methinks ... the organs couldn't be harvested that way then ....

the condemned should all be allowed the option of donating their organs ... maybe it atones in a little way for the crimes they have committed ... maybe they can do something useful for society at the end of their parasitic existence, .... maybe they can earn some brownie points with the almighty before they have to answer for their sins .....

Legal means of executions:
Hanging till death, legs kicking.
Hanging, weighted to cause neck to snap.
Firing squad, execution detail with one blank round.
Firing, with machine gun burst, at chest.
Firing, hand gun fired into the back of the head.
Beheading, head chopped off in public.
Electrocution, zap with high voltage.
Lethal injection, c0cktail of knock-out drug and heart stopper.

de_middle SG

i think hardly the case where someone actually doesn't die....unless ur neck or spinal cord is unusually strong.

but in such cases, they won't leave u hanging there, they'll just add weights to make sure it snaps Crying or Very sad

banzie SG

Or lightly they will wait for 20mins for you to die...

StarPuppy SG

just imagine if the person doing the shooting is a bo-bo shooter? shoot already dun die even worse

Laughing

MingFreeman SG

That's nonsense.

The ripple effect will lead to more dangerous crimes and overcrowded prisons.
