What is best when learning to drive?

wear shoes with thin sole so that you can feel the pedals, when it come to releasing the pedals (eg, clutch), let your heels rest on the floor and let the pedal slide along to release it, it will be a lot of easier to control rather than moving your left leg up and down

i tried leather shoes and sports shoes for lessons. took tp with sports shoes. now driving – have driven with leather shoes, sports shoes, slippers, bare foot, socks, etc. so far all okay.

yes! now my two hands are always on the steering wheel. today was alright. did abt 7 u-turns. my neck now tilting to the right liao haha.

Don't worry. Stay calm.

I wore the same pair of shoes with soft rubber soles so can feel better for all my lessons and for the exam to eliminate element of unfamiliarity and surprise. (......then my instructor changed the car a week before the exam....)

anyway, after pass liao, any shoes also can wear. Use discretion though.

i would like to ask...

1. go the showroom buy car, how long later will the collection be?
2. once i pass and dun have a car, shud i rent a relative's/friend's car and drive ard so as to be cordial wiv the roads?

wah! so fast wanna buy car meh? it depends' on ur needs for the car seriously. during the first few mths sure get dings & knocks on ur car..if u aren't urgent for a car, pehaps u can go for those coe ones. at least heart not so pain & it generally has a much lower depreciation then new cars.

personally i think its gd to drive ard once in awhile when u passed. maybe a relative's car? cuz most rental companies either dun take p-plate or has a much higher premium for them. perhaps it would be gd if u can get someone to travel wif u for the very 1st time. haha, when i just passed i went driving alone! was supposed to meet a fren somewhere in north bridge rd but landed myself in CBD area... Laughing end up kept siaming ERPs as my cashcard balance left 50 cent! hahaha Mr. Green

relative's car? ouh okay. my bro's friend's car is a lancer glx. souped up already. i scared to drive it leh. but he charge 'members' affordably. Laughing

n i noe my friends and i go out and the person who just passed have to treat evryone, so yah.. i need a car for one/two days' basis.

thin soles are the best.. puma motorsports shoes lor... can feel the pedal very well...

but i drove during my lessons with a damn thick New Balance shoe... always cant feel the pedal. so i feel steering wheel and listen. hhaa in the beginning always floor engine... after awhile used to it.. no problem liao lo.

just have to get used to it.

and btw u finish module 3... all the way till march... abit the long hor...
never plan properly ah? haha dun waste too much money
