apparently lancer jus had a facelift! which u will get to see on the roads soon...This is the first shipment with the lastest facelift..However, there are only minor changes and it only applies to sports edition

1) seats headrest -->dougnut
2) bodykit --> no more air dams...uses 1.8Turbo bodykit
3) uses Sony MEX1 head unit (which can play DVD, screen not incl of course)

so appearance wise..there's not much difference from the other lancers on the road now ie the 'older' lancers

hmm.. btw.. just want to ask, any of you drove Toyota Vios? or Toyota Corolla Altis? How is that car? performance, comfortability, overall performance?

i drive toyota vios.....................

......in the driving circuit and on the roads with 'L' plates.

good car. can speed nicely too. but learners not allowed to use 5th gear so yah.. my fastest is only 65km/h.

cars driven : 152, 160, 163, 169. Very Happy

Hey.. was just wondering, anybody here drives Mazda 3 ? Although the price now compared to vios is like 12k difference.. just wanna ask if any of you had any experience with mazda 3. Feel free to post your comments here..

vios seemed more like economical lae.. as in the FC and price cheaper… but like.. i’m afraid when u drive it.. you dun feel the honour to drive and respect your car. ( my side of thinking) however if u pay more for mazda, u feel like it’s the design / style u want + you pay more.

More likely he is starting to be tempted toward the darkside. When last time I select my car, I want very much to keep it within the budget I set of S$62.5k. Then my bro start bringing me to some test-drive like Jazz (S$71k then), TS, Lancer, City. I almost would have fallen and got a lancer (S$63k then) if I haven't chanced on my little kelisa.

Basically what I am trying to say here is the more you looked the more you want to get your dream car and the more you over-estimate your budget. Now with kelisa, I found that I just barely surviving. If I have gotten a Lancer or Aveo then, the fuel expense would set me poorer then I am now.

True true. Hear hear. Foresee 3 years into the future and ask if you will able to sustain the car. If your budget is truly 50,000, then force yourself to adhere to it. Spiderman said,"Sometimes to do what's right, we may have to give up the things we want most. Even our dreams."

mazda 3 in grey colour is nice..

dad wants a mazda 3 hatchback.. he seems quite taken in by the design and the interior..

i want a vios or a lancer. a vios because i am already used to it. a lancer coz' it looks sporty. apt for an 18-year-old.

but i guess i dun have much say coz' it's my dad's car anw.. just that it is to be used as a family car.. and i think i'll only drive like.. weekly during the weekends?? yup.

dad just came back wiv a honda civic brochure. he went to kah motor at ubi.

honda civic vti 1.8 5AT $73 000
10 year loan at $58 000, paying $641/- monthly. free 1st instalment.

of course the honda civic looks impressive. if i had my means, i too would want a honda civic anytime..

let me ask, my dad has been a motorcyclist thruout his life. well, except for a few years before he got married, he had his own car. let's just say this was way back in the 70s. my dad is gonna receive his CPF payout in april. is my dad being too extravagant? $641/- monthly is a lot considering we also have two motorcycles at home. i do not want to see my family being cash-strapped in the future. for me, i wud be happy enough with a toyota vios/honda city.. even the mazda 3 looks a tad too expensive for me..

paying 10 years.. perhaps i think look for a car that we can afford and pay for 5 years will be enough, hard to say, you might want to scrap your car in just a few years time.

All in all, is your dad still working? Else, prehaps a much much smaller car would be more suitable as like you said, already have 2 bikes.
