This is the second call I've received in like 3 months..so with
today's incident I thought I'd warn some of my fellow forumites
first before I have to read about someone who fell for it.
First incident: Caller greets you, says you've won some kind of
lucky draw in one of your entries in "supermarkets, restaurants,
petrol stations". Then tries to take your name, oddly enough
shouldn't they have your particulars if they have the lucky draw
form? I let her go on, then said I didn't enter in any lucky draw.
She hung up without even saying bye. Haha.
Second incident at 1:15PM today: "Good afternoon I'm Shirley
calling from LaShell (spelling?)."
Me: Okay? What can I do?
Shirley: Remember when you entered in the lucky draws at
supermarkets, restaurants and petrol stations?
Me: Hmm, was it the one at West Mall?
Shirley: Yes that's the one.
Me: My lucky draw at West Mall?
Shirley: Yes that's correct sir.
Me: Well I've never been to West Mall in my life so I don't know
how come there's a lucky draw under my name for it.
Shirley: Okay bye.
LOL
Maybe it's legitimate, maybe it's not. You make the conclusion. I'd
rather not risk having my personal particulars being used by a
shell company or what not.
