got the name of the CSO? email, call or write in to singtel corporate affairs and quote the name, date & time of the CSO u spoken to. tell them ur problem.

follow-up with call to check the status.

All I can say is that for every unhappy customer, there will be equally another happy customer. so dun think that “losing” u, they will lose all their customers. this is the mindset of customers. thinking they are kings. And pls dun make the CSO life difficult, all of us are just working for our ricebowls.

to be honest, big companies do not care about losing a small fry customer like you. unless you spend $10000 on your internet bills, they don't give a f*ck.
seriously, you have customers going and customers coming. so they'll never be short of customers or afraid of losing them.

and if you tell them you've decided and is gon' switch to starhub at the end of the day; they'll be very happy to let you go. Less fuss, less grumblings, less complaints, less troubles. who the hell cares whether you end their contract and hop over to starhub?

so i guess; those who threaten 'if you don't offer anything to me' or 'if you don't help me solve this problem', - i'm going to switch over to starhub or m1, are plain dumbf*cks. Threatening will not solve the issue, but anyway, they don't give a flying f*ck about what probs they have in their admin, billing, product system, etc. They just wanna make profit; but you're just a teeny-weeny mini bit fraction of that market pie.

just to relate my side of singnet bad encounter

i was trial user for SCV from 28.8
and been using starhub until 1 day a singnet came knocking on my door say
singnet faster and me been guillible tiking they know their stuff

i sign up and brought the telephone adpatar also to prevent dis connection$20 a piece...
the contact is 1yr.
after a few day i plug in the singnet to try, knn the spd damn slow
then i plug starhub n singnet both in to test...
knn singnet bluf me it was never faster....
i called in asking to refund n cancel
they say due to tech problem la
until no reason to say,, tell me cannot cancel...

ccb after that i dulan just cont using my starhub
4yrs ago laywer letter come asking me to pay 1k singnet bill
i tell them i nv use why pay, they say contract...
i say i tell them my problem they cannot slove wht i do???
then i pay $100 and ask for installment
then i stop paying...1yr later another debt coy came my house,
lucky i not home, same i pay $100 to stall time LOL

until now no news liao, my friend in singtel say i kana blacklisted hahahahaha

but in the first place the salesguy mislead me into believing singnet faster.
then when i got problem say i cannot cancel contract but offer solution which not helpful
then when i encounter the lawyer problem , singnet say i should had approach them 5yr ago not now so long liao...but in the first place they dont listen to me... so i play game with them lor

1stly... when i made the call, i made sure i didnt raise my voice or threaten the CSO or watsoever becos i noe that the CSO is juz an employee of singnet. the CSO is juz a middleman n how can i blame him/her for the dissatisfaction i had from singnet? i have frens working as CSOs n i noe their lives r tough, so i do understand ur point.

2ndly... i didnt tink that losing me (as a customer), they will lose all their other customers. if u read my 1st post again carefully, i stated i juz wanna let off some steam n share my experience wif the rest here. come on... it's singnet that we r talking abt, widely debatable.

ahhhh trendz, perhaps u should go study marketing n understand how significant a single customer might be n how retaining a loyal customer of 13 yrs is easier than having a new customer n how much the returns will be.

let me share wif u how i signed up wif singnet in 1995, it was thru word-of-mouth. 1 of my frens signed up for singnet n said it was gd, thus the rest of my frens n me went to sign up too n we found the service was not bad back then n further "advertise" for singnet unknowingly. the number of subscribers from my side is not juz 1 or 2 customers mind u. n i'm very sure my grp is not the only grp "advertising" for singnet.

from wat i understand abt singnet, they have a very gd marketing programme in attracting new customers but not that fantastic abt retaining old customers.

yup i agree wif qianer, how many $10k customer can u get?
the bulk of singnet subscribers r the typical u n me, paying $50+ or $60+ per mth for the broadband speed.

I had been with Singnet since they launched their internet in 1993 or 1994
Then briefly I was attracted by Starhub and switched over and I had so much lag issues it's not funny
Back with Singnet and no complains

I feel that many local companies do not know how to retain their existing customers and are only "all-out" to get new ones.

It is only in recent times that i noticed the local credit card companies start to pay attention to what the others are doing and start offering "waiver" of annual fees to retain the customer.

This mental attitude is prevalent in all industries and the internet one is the same.

I am with singnet but i too "suffered" and yet I am relunctant to change to starhub as i had bad experience with the starhub mobile....

I think we consumers always on the losing end if we do not voice out and take action.

I support you! A small drop in the ocean contributes to the larger picture!

Ya and worse is Singtel has absolutely no rewards program for its existing customer unlike starhub wher it at least has rewards point which you can use to redeem stuff.

So whether you are a 5 to 10 year cust or not makes no difference to Singnet. If not for starhub's expensive fees to lay the cables, i will have switch over to it long ago.

i was a singnet user since 2000 too, rewarding from them sucks lah.. i dun give a dam anyway.. at long at i download my stuffs and at the end of the day.. im satisfied.. who cares whether its singnet or starhub or whatever isp u have out there..

starhub throw us with lots of freebies... but if u calculate clear enuff.. all those freebies add up to ur bill.. part of it.. when 24 mths/ 36 mths reached.. u had by thn paid up the entire installment for ur so called freebies.. if customer kpkb.. worse case they just let u off. if u've finished a 24mths contract with singnet, they'll thn try to entertain u with freebies.. if its complaining cases.. they dun give a dam. so just go subscribe whatever hub .. and be happy at the end of the day!
