Think nett nett only one sentence to say about this incident.

No matter high speed or low speed, he is inexperence to control such type of car, period. If he doesnt know it piror, he knew it now. Hope he can and will be more caution if ever he is behind the wheel of any car.

bro, u miss one very important thing. mainly that the MX5 is like paper car lidat. dun need any force to make it flip. so its not even that hard to flip a MX5 at low speeds because its like tissue paper!

HOW do u define better?

Better handling? Better Balance? Better Stability? Design and layout packaging? What?

The point here is u CANNOT just look at one thing and say "Oh it's FR so must be FR no good" !

U have to consider that besides it being FR, the MX5 is ALSO:

LIGHTWEIGHT

SHORT WHEEL BASE

which are 2 very important considerations, I believe even more than whether it is FR or not. U cannot just think that u dun believe FR is bad since so many cars use it, so the ONLY cause of the accident is speed. That is very 1 track mind thinking!

I keep explaining that the weight, the wheelbase all contribute to the stability of the MX5, and that a car that handles well DOES NOT NECESSARY HAS GOOD STABILITY AS WELL. This has NOTHING to do with FR or not. Please try to understand what I'm trying to tell u ok?

Finally most sportcars nowadays like Ferrari use MR layout. Not FR. Either MR or, like WRX, GT-R or EVO, F-4WD.

Totally unfair. I am doing automotive and motorsport engineering. The purpose of the course is to instill in anyone doing it the ability to analyse, dissect and predict accurately how certain vehicles will behave, given paper stats, without having actually to drive said vehicle. I'm applying what I've been taught to this incident. So unless u have a good reason for rejecting my theory by using a wide-based spectrum example, u've not made a fair comment.

I also think it is uncalled for u to make a deeply personal attack on philia.

i don't remember that he/she went to the point of saying someone was underperforming in bed or not getting any satisfaction. Hows that even got to do with the accident or how one judges it? If u were saying that u think he/she is mistaken because he/she lacks certain knowledge in certain fields, I would accept that. But sex? whats sex got to do with this all? It just makes u look like u're taking even cheaper potshots. Not the way to go really is it, if u want people to seriously consider what u're trying to say about philia.

You have obviously offended the wrong dog. As far this thread is concern:

1) You are only allowed to post comments in their favour.

2) You are subjected to abuses, accusations, name-calling and insults; irregardless of circumstances; sadly all of which you will be deprived on the right to retort.

3) You are to subscribe their point of view because whatever they say is fact. Everything else that is uttered against them would be considered rubbish.

Its a simple fact, unless you are related (yes even friendster 3rd degree friends count) to the "Accused", everything you say against would be considered a lie and blasphemy.

Lastly, I will comment on the following:

BTW i've also said in either this or the other thread about this accident, that I've had quite a bit of experience with regards to accidents at low relative(or resultant) speeds due to 3 years of semi-pro circuit racing. I've had a few experiences where I've clipped low objects(other competitor's wheels for eg) at low relative speeds where the difference between the 2 vehicles are not even 5km/h and I have flown in those instances. As well, I've personally witnessed other similiar accidents during practice with vehicles with even smaller wheel diameters than the MX5's, which is why I am very sure that it is entirely possible and in fact, quite likely for the MX5 to flip on impact at low speeds.

Just to clarify where Im baseing my logic from.

as far as im concerned, u started off with some really snide and sacarstic comments/questions. I don't see anyone attacking so_nice even tho he is puttng forth his reasoning for the speeding theory. He is able to give examples to substantiate his reasoning and logic, which I have not seen u do. Perhaps, instead of thinking that u got a harsh reply because u're not arguing the same case as us, go and think if thats actually because u were just being unnecessarily mean-spirited and snotty sounding from the start.

I am very sure that I can prove my theories. I spent 3 years racing very lightweight vehicles on circuit, so I know the impact of a vehicle's weight on the way it reacts to an impact. Combine that with what they're teaching me now, and I speak from both pratical anf theoratical knowledge.

Besides, I never attacked the MX5's handling all along, because no matter what, the truth is that the MX5 is a car that handles brilliantly well, and the truth is also that a car which handles brilliantly is always a rather unstable car as compared to a sedate family saloon. That inherent instability can be compensated for to a certain extent, but never fully. So the fact is that this applies to all cars like the MGTF, MX5 and even the mighty Pagani Zonda! Its not a personal attack on a car, but rather, a discourse of the physics of cars which handle well.
