spartan6 SG Hmmm at closer look tat ship isnt e Cimarron class i thought due 2 a different bridge desige any other suggestions
Obersturmfuhrer SG The first ship is likely to be the JMSDF AOE Mashu class Fast Combat support ship, probably the Omi (AOE-426). http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/japan/mashu.htm The second one looks to be the JMSDF Murasame class DD, as pointed out by spartan6 and identified as the Inazuma (DD105) Anyone wishes to dispute this?
Shotgun SG Eh, where are u taking these photos from man? I wanna go there an launch some Sea Skuas! haaha
specfore SG Hi Obersturmfuhrer, Where did you get your reference photo of the Japanese DD? Reason I ask is that I am building some models of JMSDF ships ( so far built DE 222 and DDG 169). Need some good references.
Obersturmfuhrer SG Because you're such nice people (with the exception of some trouble-making a**-holes), here's another one that came by yesterday.
Shotgun SG That looks like a…........................................... big fat juicy target for my wake homing torpedoes.
Obersturmfuhrer SG No one has a clue? That's not for me to say. OSA or not, I'd rather not disclose that.
spencer99 SG this is a hard one. i think some kind of support ship. see that crane ... and also the bridge is so far foward. the main guy looks european.... as in not the standard Mk42/45 US 5 inch gun...
spartan6 SG E gun look like a Bofors 57mm , i remember Malaysia have at lest 1 support ship with 2 Bofors 57mm in stern n painted like tat but cant remember wat class
Black Aces SG Yep, I agree with spartan6 that the ship pictured is most probably belong to the RMN. Tried checking the M'sian Navy website via their MINDEF webpage, but gave up as it takes AGES to access the the webpage.
spencer99 SG ok. sorry.. instead of the "bridge", i should say its "superstruture" is well forward instead of amidships like a "proper" warship.
Pitot SG I think you know what is your occupation. But since you don't want to disclose it here. I shall keep mum too.
