FH-2000 mostly stated as 18, but wiki said it is 54.
As for why FH-88 is only 52 instead of 54, it is quite puzzling.But
there is also a rumour abt 4~5 of them were given to TNI.
M71S was still operated by NS unit a few years back , now I think
there are now in storage, to be operated by MR units during an
emergency.
Anyway the actual number will not be known to public as there is no
official report, therefore all are guesstimate.
But my guess is,if one Div has 2 Bn of 155mm howitzers, that mean 4
Div will have a total of 144 minmum, then there is another armoured
Bde or div, perhaps 1~2 Bn, let's say 1 Bn, so total of 162
pieces.
Some in storage (M71S and perhaps some FH-88 as well as newer
howitzer are replacing them ) will be supporting PDF.
So in total depending how many MR units we could raise during an
emergency, I believe a total of 200 operated by various kind(NSF,
NS, MR) of units is not very far-fetched.
Afterall, we do have many howitzer, the problem is on the manning
part.
