gary1910 SG In reality , our CADs are considered as Inf Div , not even a Mech Inf Div in western world. As for 25 Div, do you know that the at least the last 2 Chief Armour Officer is also the Cmder of that Div!!!
CM06 SG 21/25 Divs are reserve divs..... so dont look into them having too much stuff...They are like the reserve of us reservists....if they are activated it means most of the us are pretty much in refrigerator trucks..
spencer99 SG No lah.. i think there is confusion there... it could be that the Chief Armour Officer will wear "dual hats". be a head of HQ Armour and at the same time Comd of a "Paper" division. You don't expect a LG or BG to head a "Paper" division and that is ALL that he does!

sgf SG 21st Div is supposedly a reserve div but in actual fact its a rapid deployment force. Are you aware that 7 SIB and its various Guards units (including 1 & 3 GDS and several NS Guards units) come under 21 Div? I scoff at the statement "don't look into them having too much stuff".
CM06 SG I do...it's under the charge of CoG but no point blowing our own trumpet anyway. I rather somestuff remain under the status quo What else can we do but say WORLD PEACE to our neighbours : threaten them with else we shoot you to pieces? Bottomline...i rather have an underprepared enemy then an over prepared enemy... which is why we should keep stuff to under "status quo"
gary1910 SG Let's look at the number , 100+ Tempest plus 66+30 Leo 2 can certainly make up a whole farking Heavy Armoured Div!!!! Then you add in say 2 Bn of Primus SPH , 100 BX II , and a few Apaches etc. It will scare the sh!t out of anyone in the region!!!!
ah-soh SG 41 SAR and 42 SAR as well as a reservist SAR were under 4 SAB and it's only a few years ago that 4 SAB was moved from Gedong to Kranji. The old 4 SAB building in Gedong, after a refurbishing, is now the new HQ Armour.
ditzy SG Deh, during that period, 46 wasn't even ops ready, they didn't take atec in wallaby till middle of 2002. Until then 42 was still kiaping 4, 2 ntms, and ops b like crazy.
tankee1981 SG Its true, 4SAB is being shifted to Krangi in around 2002. And the buildings left vacant for quite some time. Thats strange, the former premises for 4 SAB in Gedong is much older than the AHQ during my time. In fact back in 2001, AHQ is the 2nd newest building in Gedong after ATC(i think now the name change to ATI). Therefore it doesn't make any sense for AHQ to be shifted to the renovated former 4 SAB HQ. But then again when we go for the MBT talk in January next year we can find this out for ourselves! Looking forward to it!
ah-soh SG Yes all the way HQ Armour has been in Gedong. Only that during early this year they shift from their original premised to the renovated old HQ4SAB building in Gedong and their initial location is now the HQ for ATI. During my active days I have been to both the new and old AHQ.

sgf SG Well firstly Tempest doesn't officially exist so the numbers are not confirmed & secondly, it is rather old. How effective would it be against the armour from up north?
CM06 SG True true...hmmm my buddies fake me then....but hey they kenna the NDP....that one si bei xiong!!! Edit: Not sure if 120mm is enough for the pt-91..the rest should be no problem.
