Shotgun SG When the runway says 02, it means the runway is heading 020 lar. Approach from the other end would be 20, short for 200. Runway 27, means 270, 09 means 090.
Pitot SG I cannot read the map clearly.. but according to Lionoisy who can confirm that take off is towards NNE. SO it means u line up heading 020. WHich means u are using runway 02 for take off. after airborne, 180degrees left turn SSW. WHich means bearing heading 200. Runway numbers are actually a indication of the bearing of the runway itself. U take North to be 0 degrees. And go clockwise which means 3oclock is 90 degrees....n so on.... So pablo is right. And it is wdely known that the runways will be used in an event of the unfortunate. If u notice, i think the immigration booths and everything still there........ WSAP can take a A380 landing.. but i without modifications to the taxiways... i dont think the A380 can get off the runway...
Pablo SG Thanks, Pitot. Those living around Sengkang and Punggol area would probably notice that the aircraft from PLAB always take off in the northerly direction and then make an immediate turn to the south.
Meia Gisborn SG Hmm... I might be misinterpreting you here, but are you saying that departing air traffic at PLAB always use Runway 02, regardless of the wind direction?
