Nope. I think its just a scam to get my money.
Fact is that non-convicts are having a hard time getting a decent
paying job and putting 3 meals on the table for their
families.
So what do the convicts expect, why do employers need to favour
convincts over a job opening over a non convinct just because of
some media hu-ha?
Do convict actually believe that they can walk into any employer
and expect to be hired for the position of a manager with all the
tattoos to serve customers?
I think these yellow ribbon people need a reality check. The last
time I know, most govt service don't employ ex-cons because they
are considered a security threat, they are now allowed into any
govt facility. In fact, even furniture they make are rejected (I
had to call for a tender in the past to buy furniture and one of
the companies employ ex-con) - I wanted to help them but my manager
told me to drop them cause the ex-con furniture will bring us
trouble and we will get questioned. Even furniture they make are
considered a threat. So for all that media crap, its just another
way for people to donate to that abyss and never know if the money
goes to helping these people of just paying for the adverts and the
officials who thought up this yellow ribbon idea. Stop getting
conned by all the stupid ribbon projects out there.
Our govt said there is no free lunch. So it seems to only apply to
the working slaves.
