The trick is to be 60% good guy and 40% bad guy

The cons of a good guy=too predictable=too boring/don't do exciting things,no backbone/every thing says "YES MDM!",tries too hard to get gal's attention by buying expensive stuff(idiot!)usually physical unappealing(eg dress too decently)

The pros of a good guy=gentlemanly,polite,caring etc etc

The cons of a bad guy=dont have the pros of a good guy

The pros of a bad guy=treats gals like normal(gals should'nt be worshipped like goddesses please!), do exciting things/unpredictable,dress sense is definitely not too "tu3".

Have the pros of a bad guy and a good guy then ho seh liao!:
As for my 60/40 formula:show your good guy side most of the time but show your bad guy side not always but frequently enough.

This works quite well when it comes to dating. If its having the intention of getting married and start a family, this more or less has to change. I think alot of young ones will use the method you mentioned to date someone and enjoy the bliss in it BUT they most likely did not consider the responsiblilties and consequences that come along with it. I may be wrong. There are some couples who started very similar to this way and ended up a happily married couple.

Why it has to change? Sometimes many guys cannot control the "bad guy" part and may play it too far that it irks someone else. Keeping it under check requires updates and constant reflection of what you did and how the other person react and more.

But then you are talking about getting a date/SO/love interest/whatever. So its more complicated than simply 60% good/ 40% bad person.

Ok, the expensive gifts aren't necessary. If she loves you, she will understand that gifts aren't as important as spending quality time with you.

Sometimes, you should let the woman takes charge but not too often though. Compromise and take turns.
