I rcv a monthly allowance of $1k++ during my NS and I didnt even think of buying a car. Travelling to and fro everywhere on a cab is still cheaper. Dun haf to worry abt petrol, parking, hor-lan, drink-driving. Just go in, sleep, den reach home liao.. Relax rite

haiz, NSFs nowadays are so fortunate. my highest allowance those days was $700+ and my frens were already cursin and swearin y mine so high....... Laughing

When I was in NS, they only paid me $20 a month. I had to work like an animal 18 hours a day. I was only allowed one meal a day and had to sleep in wooden hut with no mattress. Sometimes, they don't give me food and told me to eat grass and I had to sleep in mud. Crying or Very sad
