scabstermooch SG Disagree. The customer is this case is NOT wrong. The blame here lie squarely with the salesperson. The way to deal with the customer in this instances is clear: Tell him she is busy with another customer and she will deal with him presently, OR excuse herself politely, deal with the enquiry then get back to the other customer.
SpecOps87 SG Sometimes you get irritating customers also…I’ve met this old man whom asked me whether the AA battery he wanna buy is suitable for over 45mins! I mean GODDAMN IT!!!Its AA battey…and its less then $10 lor.
Rock^Star SG This is what writer mentioned : As I was pressed for time, I tried to divert her attention to me several times to ask a quick question about the price of a Bluetooth headset I was interested in buying. To my disgust, I was ignored. Both are at fault. "Pressed for time" could also be an excuse to justify himself. And he diverted her attn several times, which looked really irritating to me. I would do that once but not several times. No manners. Salesgirl at fault becos she did not ask him to wait politely nor ask if she may serve the current customer first.
scabstermooch SG There is nothing wrong with trying to get the attention of a salesperson who is engaged, especially if all you are after is a quick and simple answer and the salesperson seem to be engaged in something that would appear to take a long time. Some would say it is rude, I do not think so. It depends on how you go about doing it. What is, i hope, uncontested is that to ignore a customer who has been trying to get your attention is rude. The fact that he had to try to get her attention several times support his allegation that she ignored him and failed to acknowledge him promptly. Unforgivable from a customer service point of view. If I was spoken to like that, well, She would probably be given a lesson on "how not to piss customers off" followed by a practical on "how to sooth a pissed off customer".
scabstermooch SG So you agree with me? http://www.scabstermooch.youaremighty.com/ I am right and I am Mighty. The interweb says so.
kaitokura SG It's like dat de.. Why they need to serve customer sui sui n ho ho.. they only work for ppl.. they dun care if customer run away or wat de.. IF next time u encounter this again, u just shout at him/ her and ask where's ur boss!!! ask ur boss come out, i want to talk wif ur boss!! If it happen to the boss that serve u like nothing then bo bien lor. haha.. One thing lor, some becoz they're too busy that's why can act like dat.. but from my opinion lar, even though they are busy, they also must talk nicely. But wat i saw from most of the sellers in sg, they only talk n serve nicely to ppl who dress sui sui n like big boss.. To ppl who they dun even know n dress not well, they will ignore "NO HIU".
bendito.L SG the customer shld have made known to the salesgal "I am the Ah Seng of Ah Seng aquarium" then at the end tell her "I throw my killer whale at you!"
dracky SG I agree with the above. Once I while I was asking a DBS salesperson about some investment products, another guy passing by overhead something that interest him and cut into my conversation with the DBS salesperson. He proceeded to asked a few follow-on questions until I waved my hand between him and the salesperson and told him to go join the queue. A bloody ar*e with no sense of etiquette like Liu Guoyi.
