kalangkabo SG saw a car with this plate today SxxxxCD does it mean anything? or is it just malaysian car? what are the other "special" plate numbers used in sg? xxxx MID etc
SBS9828X SG SBS, TIB and CCS are used for public transport buses. RU is use for restricted use like Sentosa island bus service and other vehicles. The rest i forget
AF1 SG yup.. they are indeed for foreign diplomats residing in singapore. I have seen some of these cars having left hand drive
tailslide SG maybe they are driving left hand drive so 2 them, the rite lane is the slowest lane.......
105090 SG yeah.. the diplomat embassy high-commission car is the king of the roads. free insurance $0 road tax free parking anytime anywhere Traffic Police also scared of them... imagine you being one of the drivers.. MID vehicles are for ministry of defence vehicles like those forever breakdown 5 tonnes veh and 100 yr old looking jeeps. there are some cars in singapore with no back alphabet. eg: S 8454
LazerLordz SG I've seen LHD Chevrolet Camaro SS, Corvette LT1, Toyota Previa, Lexus GS300, Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Dodge Viper.
casshern SG yeah.. can simply walk thru customs with a bag full of pirated porn DVDs and the customs officer will still smile at you and say "Bon Voyage!"
sunnyMAN SG I've seen one along cle rd (outside NP) with XXXXXABC. That's 5 digits and 3 alphabets at the end. Guess it might be a foreign car..probably from msia or smthing.
sunnyMAN SG MID vehicles can also be commercial ones for those high up in ranks. And the license plate goes more or less according to the ranks. ie the smaller the nos..the higher the profile. 20 MID and up should be the dark coloured E200 merc. followed by the white Audi A4s. and the rest are a mixture of proton wira, ford lasers etc and of course the estate aka 'GP CAR'
AF1 SG I have seen some sort of a green circle sticker on such cars. Wonder whether it is an indication of MINDEF vehicles, or of other purposes?
