Hi friends, i have jus went thru my interview for post of Pilot, and i'm suppose to report for medical check up next week at paya lebar, anyone have any clue on hows the check up is going to be like??like what they check for etc??HELP.... kind of excited Razz

Please....Someone pls tell me what they will be testing for Smile

and also, does it mean if i pass the medical i can sign on as trainee pilot already? thts what i heard from the recruitment staff, jus wanna double confirm..

it's almost the same as your CMPB medical check i guess, dun really remember.. muahahaha.. i just went for my ACE. just remember to fast as they told u to and try to stay calm lor.. nowadays they dun focus on eyesight that much, more on hearing.. remember to really strain for that sound and click it lor :p

btw, for pilot selection, good medical records won't help if u have bad aptitude and attitude, just a word of advice :p have fun!

:- go BMT
:- Go OCS (Hopefully)
then i will be eligible for pilot trainee already...is it true?

for what u said, aplitude and attitude, i tot that was during the last CPSS and MAPAS test? correct me if i'm wrong Smile

just relax la...

the harder tests i find are the the breathing test and the hearing test. the rest are just normal stuff.

eyesight test - look at the letter from a distance and color blind test.

hearing test - u sit in a room with headset on and u press a button everytime u think u hear a sound.

blood test and urine test - as per normal. dun eat anything from 10 pm onwards the previous day.

heartbeat test - u lie on a be where they will attach a number of wires to u. u just breath normally.

dental test - check for cavities. they will inform u if u ned to have ur teeth filled or what so no worries.

breathing test - u suck n blow into a tube. there is a block in the tube and u have to push the block pass a certain mark to pass so blow with all ur lung muscles Laughing

ear check - check ur ears for any irregularities

I did go for a simplified version for my student pilot’s licence. I went through urine test, eye-test, BP test, X-ray…think that should be bout it ba.

I went for tests for Youth Flying Club and Pilot.

I think they also measure the length of your arms and legs..... other then the usual height and weight.

i jus went for the checkup at Aeromedical Centre, but i have to go get my teeth filled and need to go for review before i can proceed Sad do i still stand a chance of becoming a pilot? Sad

try to ensure you are breathing thru both of ur nose.

i get nose block when is cold.

They test u by placed a piece of metal under your nose and as you breath normaly, there should have 2 circle of condensation on the metal. If only 1, mean 1 is block.

haha, ya ya, i want to get it done asap, i dun want to drag Smile i'm only worried about this dental problem, because for teh rest i cant do much, what's with me is with me Sad jus hope they are satisfy with my teeth on the review.

btw, if i pass this aeromedical check up, i will be ask to sign a so call contract right? and from there, i would have to go for normal BMT, and from there, i must do my best to get into OCS hor??
