I thought one of the ST journalists mentioned it was a fleet of
10, out of which 6 are presently sent to Indonesia?
I recall reading somewhere that, to form the 127 Squadron, we
brought back 6 Chinooks from Grand Prairie (Texas) & then
acquired 4 more.
Conversely, Tim Huxley said in his book that we made 3 sets of
orders in the '90s, for a total of 16 Chinooks. The purported goal
is supposedly at least 20 to meet our RDF needs.
