foga SG that i dun know liao but my parent's flat should be due for en bloc too. afterall, it has been upgrade more than 11 years already. a couple of block infornt of our alreday torn down many years ago, the block next to mine en bloc by 07 end leave my block standing quite funny

foga SG goodie goodie we went to check out the bukit merah block althou the show flat closed liao but the location damn solid. a stone throw away from redhill mrt, have 7-11, clinics, market, hawker centre nearby
BufPuf SG i love the location but like what i told fog-shu it might be quite straining on our finances to actually get the house. after we calculate, we still need to take about $100+ out per month although it is not a big amt, but our CPF will be wiped clean and next time no $$ for our kids to go school by CPF. Must pay all in cash

shinta SG cos earlier his parents wanted us to buy the 3 room next door cos their blk might get en bloc... then his sister in law say dun... cos we might not get any compensation at all.
choco B SG What exactly is this HDB enbloc? Doesn't work the same way as private property right? What do hdb houseowners stand to gain if they kena enbloc? As far as I know they're given a few choices for relocation, I've never heard of any cash payouts... correct me if I'm wrong?
shinta SG the govt will compensate u... er... say ur current unit is worth 190k valuation... and ur new unit is 250k so u just need to pay 60k for the new one.. they offset for u as for the old folks who decided to move in with their kids... i'm not sure
