4 rooms is 3 bedroom + 1 living room? Hmm... intend to have how many kids? Got count enuff room to host the kids? Or share room? Wat if parents come and decide to stay over for the nite? Got spare room?

For me I got 4 bedroom + 1 living room so I tink I got adequate rooms for future occupation by kids and parents or even guest too Mr. Green

Yeah changing feeder bus etc really adds up in the long run, not to mention the time wasted.

Like my old workplace is nearer to my home but I had to take the MRT and change a feeder bus and I had to be up earlier and I spend more on transport whereas this new workplace is slightly further on the map but I have a direct train there and what I pay for transport is much less and I save on travelling time too!

It's so convinient that we put off the thought of buying a car Mr. Green

location still remains the sole factor for determining property prices...and i agreed on the moving part. next time got kids even worse, got to worry about the changing of school if we move.

in the long run, the university are in the west.

better schools are near central.

i used to have classmates who live in tampines
got to come to clementi for classes. Taxi fare about $20, not to mention the time..

since there's a balloting exercise going on, and my agent friend ask us to try so why not Very Happy

both bukit merah and queenstown flat under this ballot are very accessible.

5 min away from nearest mrt.

but queenstown one ( opps commonwealth mrt ) is really quite near to the mrt line so might have to endure so level of noise but location wise, good!

Fo us, not intending to have kids soon but if there are kids, max at 2. They can share the room when they are young and if same sex they can share the room Laughing

Parents won't stay over as they drive and it is likely they will be moving back to our old place which is near my house anyway.

when my bro got married a few years back, they got the pasir ris flat cause it's near to where they work

now they moving back to my parents area cause every moring they have to sent my nephew back to my parents to take care off.

and they both work near my parent's place

but the one on offer at queenstown is very near to the mrt station.

but staying near the mrt will definately be a plus.

time is money. we dun wanna have to take a bus to mrt, and mrt to work

and areas like mukit merah and queenstown are very good locations so resale value will be better.

personally i feel, i b more willing to invest in the flat -- location is impt... but if later, i can afford a car.. all the better... hee...

i prefer bishan area cos tat' where i grow up... but *keke*, kena persuaded by bf tat tiong bahru is a better place...

so u reckon if i shd wait for tiong bahru flat or shd i juz get jurong west and a car?

dunno hw much it will cost when the new flats are ready...

btw, the present bukit merah flats are quite small in floor area, averaging 110 sqm for a 5-room flat, costing at over 400k...

if only pay increments go in tandem wif property hikes... haiizzzz

I really wonder what will it like when we have kids coz we have no one to look after the kid if we have one when we are working.

Mum is working and enjoys her work. Told me the day I got married if I have kids don't look for her Laughing

Dad is busy with his social work and god knows what other activites.

Mother-in-law ..... maybe but she is kinda far away

yr case quite similar to ours leh.

i prefer jurong while my guy prefer tiong bahru.

but it's a matter of compromise lah. He agree that we can get a car after we get our flat because my work place is quite far.

JW is seriously abit far even with transport. If there are no pull factors like your parents live in JW, then I don't recommend that place. You can go west e.g. Clementi? but not that far west :p
