We call it a team. 1st let get clear what a PF Coy do? It does
not oni do DZ, it oso do AS, LZ, PZ as well as BH. For BH most of
the time the NDU will be around to work hand in hand.
A PF will not stay around for too long ie to say once the 1st group
of main body landed, the PF commander will hand over the whatever Z
and move off to prepare PZ or PS. PF will always be the 1st in to
open 'windows' for the main body and the last one out needless to
say 'close the windows'
Next the Size of a DZ, AS, LZ, PZ and BH.
DZ for loads or pax has a diff set up. A well train PF team of 4 to
5 man can operate a DZ.
AS will need 1 X PF Coy to set up and operate.
1 X LZ is make up of 3 or 4 LS. Number of birds depend.
1 X Team for LS.
1 X PL for LZ. ie to say 1 X PF Coy can operate up to 4+1 LZ.
As for BH, it will depend how big or long the BH is. Example like
D-day, per sector need at least a PL size.
