sidestep1984 SG u need to be airborne qualified to get the Pathfinder badge….thus the wings…almost every elite course requires one to be airborne qualified(ranger,etc)...
Ponders SG IT is the US pathfinder course. Basically its a 5 week course focusing on navigation and preparation of drop zone. But I do not think this is a rare badge compared to the US Special OPs badge. Many of us would call it the Navy Seals Badge, but the badge's official name is US Special Operation Badge. ITs the one with an eagle grabbing onto a trident.
sidestep1984 SG the US Special Forces and Navy SEAL trident(its actually called the Special Warfare Badge) are 2 different things....those who pass the 3 stages of BUD/s gets the Seal Trident...to get the US Special Forces badge...u gotta go through the Q course in John F Kennedy Spec Warfare centre...
bcoy SG Talking about rare badges - my former CO during my NS had a German ranger crest and German airborne wings. How rare is that in the SAF?
Joshua1975 SG Originally posted by yangie:This wouldn't be too detailed, would it? if this is so call detailed, than pleace closed down Military Nuts. having guys post SAF personal photo in here, what is that called?
