Alrite, I remembered I went to an air force open house abt 2
years ago and I asked an F-16 Falcon pilot on the minigun.. He told
me tat you can set the minigun to either 1500rpm or 6000rpm..
Normally they'd use 1500rpm as it doesnt burn up ammo tat much, but
6000rpm is needed for maximum strafing results..
And yes, 600 rounds per SECOND is really overkill.. the size of
each bullet is already abt 6 inches long.. /me gulps.. juz getting
4 rounds is enuf to rip u in half..
Oh yeah, when skilled fighter pilots engage slower moving planes,
all they do is maneuver behind the bogey, and squeeze the minigun
trigger got 0.5 sec.. Normally tat releases abt 150 rounds and they
aim for the cockpit area of the bogey.. US pilots have engaged and
taken down bogeys b4 liddat..
Note: Pilots dun usually hold down the trigger for more than 3
seconds.. LoL! Overkill!
