I am hawkish with regards to military matters.Civilian policing
issues are a matter I am not entirely familiar with.
However,on reflection,perhaps it is an indicator of intelligence
being received that terrorists are targeting Singapore,hence the
deployment of these fellas?
Either that or it is an excercise in propaganda and a show of
strength.With regards to the deterrence factor,they definitely are
VERY effective by their presence alone.
It seems that the authorities like the concept of overkill.
