The SOC has 3 components

1) PTF - Police Task Force
2) Dog Unit
3) S.T.A.R.

The STAR is a more elite and secretive "elities" they will usuallly not be deployedfor such patrols.

The PTF is more likely.

Therefore it is also to be noted that the PTF still esist and not the "SOC, formerly called the Police Task Force"

Frankly there isn’t a need to protect most of the more “important” embassies since they’re all constructed like fortresses. I’d like to see someone try to drive a truck bomb into that US fortress (embassy).

I guess they are for psychological effect only. I dun think a few policemen carrying mp5s can stop an organised terrorist attack. And they can't possibly be so zun, be at the right place at right time to stop an attack.

Alrite, I’m a gun nut but I always can’t get the trigger groups of the MP5 variants memorized.. Issit an MP5A2? Can see tat it has single, burst & full-auto settings.. Well taken pic btw.. Though the fact tat they carry revolvers as sidearms is a little “turn-offish”.. LoL!

It probably won't deter much if the bomber is hell-bent on suicide. Neutral
However, in Israel, earlier this year, a teenage HAMAs suicide bomber surrendered himself to the IDF patrol when he saw them. He was, of course, disarmed & arrested. Neutral
