How long does it take for registered mail to reach you?

But it has been 7 days and I still havent receive the registered mail....is that normal? Im talking about registered mail being sent by a local in singapore....

Provided you can get in contact with him first, but from the reply above, it would seem to be a very difficult task. Laughing He probably got sick of you calling him day in day out asking about the mail he's suppose to send you.

He just msged back to say that he will refund me ONLY if he can recover the goods which he send out. And he didnt even provide me with a tracking number....

How is he going to recover any goods when he didn't even bother to keep the tracking number? Laughing And if he gave you the tracking number, you'll be the one doing the tracking already, not him.

Definitely there's something wrong when seller received payment but client did not receive goods

Problem is you did not safeguard your interest by getting tracking number from seller

The guy said he threw away the receipt cos he had no means of keeping it... Neutral And he also said that he went back to the same post office to file a lost goods claim, the counter didnt give him the tracking number.

Coz he didn't even bother to keep the receipt! Next time you try buying an item sold at metro and robinsons from isetan, then go robinsons and ask for a refund for that item. Laughing

If you buy his excuse I think you're better off shopping in brick and mortar shop LOL

Anyway in future insist on being provided post tracking number as one of your purchase conditions, before finalising and making payment.

urmm, i believe no seller will mail out their goods without receiving payment. u can ask around if u don't believe. or check out ebay or yahoo auctions. seller only deliver after receiving payment. its standard procedure. hope to hear from u soon after u check. =)

For future purchases, BEFORE you confirm purchase or PAY, tell seller that you want him to give u post tracking number when he mail out goods via registered mail ... if he say OK , then proceed...

of course if after that he dua you, you also LPPL.... but at least you have an EMAIL AGREEMENT on what he has promised (always have it in bnw)..... and thus also, better to shop from reputable sites...

Seriously. Do your homework on online shopping before you fork out $.

As for your current case, if he refuse to do anything , you also LL cos you got nothing to trace.

I think, I would like to warn everybody on this forums to be careful when conducting trades on the forums. Be very careful when the seller insists on sending you a registered mail instead meeting you up in person.
