driving at 60-70km/h when amber flashes

Just do whatever you think is safe. At most pay some $$. Singapore amber traffic light timing is ridiculously fast and I often had to drive through due to safety consideration. Never been booked or photographed though.

Anyway, ever got people rule of thumb is if you are within two arrows before the traffic light, than go. If more than that, stop. I still think best is if you can make a judgement calll if it is safe to stop according to your speed and traffic condition though.

NEVER daydream when driving. Especially approaching traffic light junctions.

It's fortunate there isn't a motorcyclist behind you. Or you could end up answerable to the motorcyclist's broken neck or worst, the loss of his life.

Focus on driving, when driving.

Well this is when ur rear view mirror comes into good use.

As for me... when i am driving and approaching a traffic light junction. I will always glance at the rear view mirror for the vehicle rite behind me... if there is no one behind me or very far behind... when it suddenly changed red... if i feel i can stop in time... i will jam the brakes... if someone is quite near to me from the mirror i see... den i just accelerate and go loh.

Anyway no one should be travelling so freaking fast when approaching a traffic light junction mah unless those very quiet roads... den most prob the light will only turn red if the other direction have cars waiting and hit on the road sensors. Very Happy

Well, here's my motoring opinion:

>> Roads in "quiet" or "isolated" locations, needs more attention.

A lot of people think that they can let their guard down in isolated or quiet locations, and this is dangerous. Because of this mentality, serious accidents occur because someone, thinking that there is no traffic, beats a red light only to crash head-on with a motorbike or andother vehicle.

The more quiet a road is, the more alert you must become.
