i dun need to pay 100k for a weekly 2 hr track session. heck, i
dun even play golf and personally wouldn't paying that kinda money
to whack little white balls over huge grass patch. for every person
who pays 100k for a membership, theres probably 20 other guys like
me who own a car and can afford to spend on track sessions. this is
economy of scale. moreover, how many golf courses in sg can support
world class golf events and how many of these events are actually
happening in sg? we can hold F1 competitions using just one circuit
and how much land does that take up compared to the number of golf
courses?
u enjoy tax rebates if the government deems the totality of the
good in ur investments outweighs the gains the government can reap
by taking a slice of ur profits. u think government give tax
rebates for 3rd, 4th child policies because u are making money?
business sense as u have put it is only reflected as ur own opinion
as far as it goes now.
recreational land in sg is largely private funded. why do u
think sentosa lasted as long as it does now? i think anyone who has
been there can see for themselves how big that piece of land is and
how many $2 per entry they are earning. enough to support the
rental of that huge piece of recreational land? obviously, any
person with a sound business mind would consider the impact of any
investment on the infrastructure it can capitalize on. hotels,
resorts, entertainment hubs can sprout from a calculated business
move. looking only 6 years ahead won't get u anywhere and from what
i see, u have limited ur own imagination.

suicider.
risks are a necessity in any business. ur claim of that risk
being unnecessary is primarily based on ur self perceived concerns.
of course, anyone is entitled to their own opinions, but i wouldn't
go as far to say that a project to build a circuit is deemed to be
doomed to failure. this was probably one move our government missed
out on then and regretted now because they had ppl who had the same
mentality as u.
