Oh…Malaysia and Indonesia huh? How was there miscommunication i wonder. Was it a silent mobilisation back in 1991?

Defending the Lion City by Tim Huxley is a really good read. Trust me on that. I didn’t finish reading it but the selected chapters I read were well written.

CX SG

its a little out of date liao lah... time for a new edition Tim...

ditzy SG

Cannot be helped lah, things get out of date easily in this era. I dun think he wants to be made famous by malaysia again anyway. Mr. Green

I remembered that incident. It was the largest Airborne drop in SEA or something.

So Singapore have the large-scale Mob in which if I remembered correctly for the 1st time the SAF actually "uncrate" those Dri-clad AMXs and M113s during a Mob.

I remembered it was in the papers.

Gedanken SG

Wah! Really ah! Power sia!

Back in the days when SOF's existence was denied after the SQ119 incident, we were under instructions to stick to the official story: the regulars in the battalion were rotated through the CT role. In other words, there was no such thing as SOF.

So if you unit is really supposed to be under wraps, why even hint at it? After all, aren't you supposed to be secret? Laughing

No miscommunication, 10,000 malaysian and indonesian paratroopers(spec forces) landed 10km from singapore border during our nat day.

Co-incidence that these paratroopers from 2 governments chose to end their bilateral exercise on our national day and 10km away from our borders in between us and the PUB water plant in johore.

If you think abt the 'move' on a chessboard more like a rook between a canon and queen piece? Talk abt baiting.

We of course responded with a total armored mobilisation. First time I ever saw the Red "Fighting Spirit" flashed on TV.

We had a career armored officer together with his family over for dinner that day, he returned to camp immediately.

Strange don't you think prior to that event we have at least been on very good terms with indonesia helping each other with projects like tourism & batam etc ...
After that day incident I never totally trust "malays".

My view may seem racist but to each his own.
