Mountain bike modification help needed

Thanks to JasonC, I learn a lot more about moutain bikes and come to realise we had made a hasty choice getting the 17" frame moutain bike.

I am also quite surprise that in overseas (from some of the web pages I have been to) they have frame sizes for each models. Meaning you choose a model and them choose the correct size. They even have sizes for women. Here so far, the one place I went did not have these choices. Come to thing of it...we buy clothes according to our size so why not bikes?

Well apparently I bought a size L bike for my friend who obviously needs size S bike Confused

frame too low from wheel base how to cross rough terrain? between a rocks when u clear them the frame base hit the rock face oredi Crying or Very sad

There is always a "line" to follow in the trails which is the smoothest, if not, can always hop. Laughing

Agree. Trash it until your friend got more confidence on handling the bike. Well, its less heartbreaking to see a scratch on Aleoca than on a $1799 bike.

the frame is made and meant for 26" wheels
u can change into thicker wheels but definetely not smaller ones
