Guess will be for the feeder that will do st 85/86 and also cover ave 10 as there are many upcoming condo there such as Alps, Santorini and Q-Bay. Suspect still more to come + opposite side could have more industrial units coming up as the site is reserved for it.

Hi mr carbikebus, what are the possibilities of squeezing another new bus service into current Punggol bus interchange to serve the new pair of bus stops at Punggol east end? I seldom see new bus stops built so fast at more than 1 yr ahead of opening of new expanded bus interchange. Cheers. Thanks.

If it is new service, should be launched in Q3/Q4 2017 as the earliest BTO will open for occupancy in Q4 2017. Doesn't make any sense to have a service launched anytime before Q3 unless it is for construction workers.

And Teck Lee still has time to open and will open in tandem with developments. Clearly, Samudera and Punggol Point LRT are opening for convenience of construction workers. Now that LTA has started becoming nice to construction workers, I hope they improve bus network access in Sungei Kadut and Tuas South.

Hi Mr dupdup77, why so quick to pass judgement? This may look like a gimmick but Ez-Link and Co. also not spending your money for this, why worry?

Orchard Rd is good because the tourists may find it useful to check their Ez-Link balances before boarding the buses. Of course it may be more useful when integrated with other functions like topping up the Ez-Link wallet or providing fare estimates/directions to other tourist hotspots. Cheers.

While it is useful, I agree that top up is a basic feature they should have included. Just checking the amount is not enough.

Well, checking Ez-Link value counts as a use, so not entirely useless. This function is relatively simple to implement because you only need a NFC reader, though if you were to add a top-up function then you'll need quite a bit more infrastructure, e.g how to accept payments etc. Therefore perhaps it's the limitations of the current infrastructure. The two bus stops at Yishun ring road @ Blk 504C and Opp Blk 672C are separated by 098m (<100m).

Does that even make sense? Would have been better if the stop at Opp Blk 672C is shifted further to Blk 502C for Palm Breeze HDB.

i wonder if there is a need to have 1 pair of bus stops minimum for every single BTO project?

Ppl are getting more lazy these days. Walk 200m also don't want. Last time we walk 1 km to the main road just to take non-air-conditioned buses.
