Btw has 117 helped to relieve 103 given that it now enters West Camp and enters Yishun? It should not be a problem since the bus service has lots of Wrights

117 only helps towards Yishun with small effect. Towards Serangoon, 117 has no help despite it arriving 1 min before 103. Therefore, 103 should be getting more Wrights than 117 as 117 demand is not relatively high in that "peak" sector

Agreed,Dont amend 965 into SAP..In fact SMRT should just amend 860 into SAP if they need to.

Good choice but demand also has to be wise...so many people now take 860 almost every time. I would rather pick 805 im my opinion.

805 is a feeder and extend to SAP already defeat the purpose of a fare capped service.

* sv 43 loading between Punggol and NEX was lower than my expectation

* Loading picked up along Paya Lebar Road and 52 pax went beyond Paya Lebar MRT, yet 43 as a SD would also be able to take everyone at Paya Lebar Road

* Highest loading comes at Paya Lebar MRT, where the bus arrived at its peak loading time, and had 49 pax boarding inspit of a 134 and 135 being 04 mins in front. Clearly, there were 1-2 MRTs that caused this loading.

* Looking at the loading during peak hours, seems like 43 is managing the load quite okay inspite of 76 removed

* Need to observe more but this is the peak hour loading for today.

I was waiting for bus service 43 at YCK road towards Punggol for 15 minutes. SBS6826X (shift 1A, last trip) arrived at 13:45, 7 mins behind schedule, almost full, and surprisingly, crowds of about 30-40 people rushed to board the bus even though it was only 13:45.

Some pax initially wanted to board, but did not board eventually. I was one of the last in the queue, but still managed to board. The Citaro somehow managed to squeeze 45 standing pax (total 80 pax). When the BC closed the doors, I was trapped by the doors behind me, and a girl carrying her school bag in front of me.

The bus was full throughout the journey, even after I alighted. The loading on this timeslot is enough to warrant DDs almost every time I take the bus at this time slot.

However, when I alighted, I was shocked to find SBS6104X on 43M (shift 90A, last trip) behind, with all seats occupied but still rather empty, with SBS3004X on 102 in between!

If SBS3004X was the bus on 43, no pax would have been left behind, but the DD will still be full, from my observations of the number of pax left behind!

Also, almost every trip of shift 90A/95P on 43M is enough to warrant DDs. But, in today’s special case, it was rather empty because SBS6826X was very late.

* Loading on sv 85 has NOT improved. The increase in loading between Yishun and Sengkang West Town has been offset by introduction of new service 117 to Punggol.

* Almost NO one went from Yishun to Punggol on this trip (100% sure). This leads me to believe, people have moved to 117 to Punggol MRT and transfer to Punggol East town.

* There are few who take sv 85 from Yishun to Rivervale, but considering the # pax taking from Sengkang West town to Yishun. Quite low. This leaves me to believe there is a sizeable number who would also be taking 965 and transfering at Punggol Road to sv 86 or at Sengkang MRT.

* Loading at Sengkang West/East Way on sv 85 has dropped significantly on account of sv 102. 85 came before 102 all along Jalan Kayu/Sengkang West Way, and there were good # pax waiting at bus stop for 102. This leaves me to believe 102 loading has improved (opp. direction buses seemed to have decent loading, not bursting)

* 85 loading between Sengkang West and Yishun will continue to improve because the occupancy of the flats there still seems quite low

* Punggol Central - Punggol MRT loading was also not great, even though there was NO 3/83 in front. It is also opposite direction.

* Is there still demand between Sengkang East town and Punggol East with sv 85 at other timings because buses spotted in opposite direction also had feeble loading (this was 2 sv 85 SD spotted at Compassalve and other at Punggol Central towards Yishun).

* The DDs on sv 85 though NOT well utilized do offer comfortable journey from Yishun to Sengkang West town with upper deck having 36/57 pax.

I can't do AM most of the time as I get to work by 7am and leave around 4.30-5pm. So mostly I can do PM trip anywhere, unless I have a meeting in AM in certain town and then I can go try.

Do you know 103 DD timing in PM from Yishun? I can try doing that as I am working a lot in Hougang-Punggol-Yishun area these days.

103 DD PM u do also no use, i can tell u straightaway, the PM load is not high as the PM slot not the peak loading

Did I say its gone down? My loading analysis above is purely on sv 85.

The problem is many workers work shift hours and not many office hours..SAP work timings is nearly the same as Changi Airport timings..So IMO deploy DDs on peak hours also doesnt help much either..The best is to a few T shift DDs and a few E shift DDs.

Isn't this SBS3459S slot? It is scheduled just 5 minutes after SBS3448Z. How can the bus in front be 13 minutes ahead?
