Hidden^OnE SG Erm... both japanese and korean are very courteous language. Japanese and korean shares a similar grammar and is influenced by chinese in terms of vocab, and english now. Japanese and korean are more related then korean and chinese. When you are shouting, even french would sound rude.
hellomotosxq SG if u learn korean . u will know that 80% of korean vocab are origin from chinese language
Hidden^OnE SG Dosen't make it a chinese language. English uses the latin alphabet, is it latin? We use arabic numbers in daily life. Is math arabic? Korean is the only east asia language with a alphabet. Due to their alphabet, Korea have always enjoyed a high level of literacy.
Hidden^OnE SG I said that before and I will say it again. Korean and japanese does not orginate from chinese. Korean and japanese are SOV lanugages. Chinese is SVO. I(subject) love(verb) you(object), would thus end up as I you love in korean and japanese. The fact that korean and japanese is filled with chinese vocab is a reflection of the power of chinese influence at that time. You can witness the addition of english words into korean and japanese currently, this shows the influence of US. =D
philia SG Obviously, you guys haven’t listened to Kansai (Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto) accent. I can tell you, the way Japanese punks speak is pure filth where they forgo the Japanese particles like wo, ga, wa etc.
Gordonator SG typical Japanese teenagers nowadays like to add in english phrases here and there when they speak, much like singaporeans.
