Referring to those special forces, couldn't help noticing, were they wearing Israeli Orlite helmets, instead of our usual Kevlar ones?

why kill the terrorists when you can shoot them and wound them n catch them alive? how come e entire STAr squad so bobo? take so long to kill? how come they are seen moving around taking up positions? i mean they should have placed themselves in good positions before e target arrive... cock show but i still watch

I think the gunfight too drawn out.. but then if they made it like real life it would only last 4 seconds and jokers like u will complain it's too fast.

It's more conceivable to have an expert shooter than one trooper beating probability to tiok the baddie in the first episode? As such, I don't mind seeing a SHIRI-class terrorist wounding several policemen. Mr. Green Ok, the *sniper* is coming. Too bad he don't use AWP.

Are they STAR team? I think their outfit is overkill. Thought they should just storm in weaving balaclavas. And the baddies, sporting what weapon only?, aren't taking any hostage. It's overkill to send them to hell, should just maim them.

We see the comparison between 5.56 and 9mm. It takes 1 bullet for a far 5.56 and several from nearby 9mm to kill a guy.

Hmm... It's obvious the original intention was to apprehend them, not zap them. But the moment the guns came out, basic orders in all cases would be to take the joker down... Aiming for arms or legs when they are shooting at you is not a realistic option... If they survive, that's a bonus...

As for being dressed in full SWAT gear, that seems realistic. After all that's real bullets flying there. To move in on dangerous terrorist suspects with just baraclavas over normal dress just because they are totting automatic pistols seems absurb.

Probably they wanted to prolong the dramatic shooting scene and dramatise the slow death of the baddie, but then they should have aimed for head huh.

About full SWAT gear, I believe SAS and HK SDU don't even wear helmet (usually) when dealing with terrorists brandishing sub machineguns. Mr. Green

I think the SOP in such a case (without confirmed weaponry report or hostage) is to send in police donned in bulletproof vest and carry Mp5 only? The last time they went to apprehend this guy with a pistol, was the STAR team there?

Too bad the lightning inside the factory was too dark, couldn't see properly the full gear of STAR team. Thought they looked too futuristic with their visor down. Does their visor cover their face or just the upper part?

Erm, I think that time where this joker swiped a police 9mm and zapped the owner of the gun in the leg, I saw dudes in full battle, body armour and all securing the area with mp5s on the news. In the end the felon blew his own head out with the pistol, saving the professionals the trouble.

To go up without a helmet against submachine guns is not exactly smart. After all a 9mm will still kill you dead if it hits your head. One reason why some elite outfits might choose to forgo head protection, something that proved to be dangerous thinking in Mog. Where delta troopers took unnecessary losses because they were running around in Pro-Tech hockey gear instead of the fritz.

We all know helmet might save your life. But this fact was rather ignored at Princess Gate, 1981 huh? Did our guys wear helmet in Changi, 1991? Probably, but I only remember they wear balaclava from descriptions. Mr. Green And from a rather blurry photo of them surrounding the passengers, doesn't seem like they wear a helmet.

Pro-Tech is not without its merit. I guess that's why VBSS Seals still wear them. I can only recall one D-boy dying from unnecessary head wound. His name was Tim Martin or something?

I think you mean "Gritz" Martin... no he wasn't the guy, he was another guy who got an RPG shot through him when it entered the humvee, dun confused for the other guy who was impaled by the RPG. He survived long enough to make it back to base holding in his own entrails in his hands. In the movie he was the guy who was shown blown into half, not exactly true and he didn't die on the scene, he actually made it back to the med center.

The Delta guy who died from a headshot which his protech obviously failed to stop was Fillmore.

PS: Felt the coolest character in the book was Paul Howe, probably he had lots of scene, that's why. Think he's son-in-law of Charlie Beckwith right? Too bad movie never showed much of him. Was he even inside?

How come the bedsheet? and pillow case that color one? Issit like that in Combat Engineers? Also the cupboard color also quite funny.

Terorists as snipers is quite a novel thing right? They don't do this often and the US sniper incidents a while ago were not traced to terrorists.

I don't see why not... sniping is not exactly a bad idea wat...

Problem is with Frontline is that it moves way too slow... for a 6 parter we are already half way through and we still dun have the sense that the story has developed much... on the terrorism plotline... on the subplots however, it has been overdone...
