Lodging, food, washing and medical are not demanded to high
standard by many foreign workers. They go easy on all these, not
like Singaporeans. Also, you do not need to pay them CPF, that
saves LOTS of money.
If Singaporeans were to work as a construction worker, they will
start complaining if their work held them back for lunch, worksite
hygiene not good,
must work OT every week, etc etc. Foreign workers do not complain
about this, they are happy to be given a chance to work here so
they will not give their employer problems.
I have this friend who own a construction company. He always tell
me that foreign workers are humble and willing to learn.
Singaporean worker are expensive and yet proud most of the time.
They sterotype foreign workers in worksite.
Btw, just how many Singaporeans would be willing to work as
cleaners and construction workers. So please appreciate the foreign
help you get and don't treat them like dirt.
